So, this is not from a one of my Life Learners. This is from me. I have been struggling with the best way to present some very important information that can help a lot of people. This is the kind of thing that could be a game changer for millions of students out there. Sorry to the rest of you but I will find some way to make it up to you later.
In fact, conservative estimates show over 2 million people suffer from this severely. As in are at risk of failure because of it severely. Even more suffer from it but to a lesser extent. And we are only talking about high school students here. This is excluding college, where it get’s even worse.
So, what is the problem? I don’t want to give too much away but…. How do you teach a large group of people who have problems learning? Should I put out a book? What about a video? Maybe it’s better to do it in person? All of the above?
It’s the little details like this that often end up making the biggest difference. The hard part about this is, this was something that plagued me for a long time. I really want to help these people. Hell, I have helped these people before. But finding the best way to do it is hard.
So, I have gone back to the basics. When in doubt, 1 Thessalonians 5:21.
For those of you who don’t know this verse says, “Test everything, hold fast that which is good.” So that is what I decided to do. I’m working on getting a test group and I’m just going to try a bunch of different ways to teach this. With over 4 million people out there suffering from this it should not be hard to find some people willing to help with this.
This brings me to the point for you all. When you don’t know something, and can’t find a solution someone else has already made, the best thing you can do are small test. Don’t do a lot. Just a small number. Then go with the best results.
You would be surprised how often this trips up even the smartest of people. Many academics get this wrong. But remember 1 Thessalonians 5:21.
