Frequently Asked Questions

My child is going back to school soon what should they do?

The best thing you can do for them is to get any textbooks early if possible. have them read the books. If not, have them study something and make sure they are getting enough sleep. Many Parents let their child stay up way to late before school starts. take at least 2 weeks to get them back on a sleep schedule.

Any advice on picking a college?

My best advice is to have a job picked out before you start looking for college. I will post an article on this soon but it saves you a bunch of time, money and fear to have this picked out first. Shadow a few people until you find a job you find something you could see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Then ask people in the field were the best places to graduate from is.

I'm having money problems, how do i go to college on the cheap?

I would start by looking for an in state school. Find the best in state school for your chosen major (see advice on picking a college above). You will want to transfer there after you finish your core classes, money permitting. Then look for a community College near were you live and live with your family until your core classes are done. If money permits switch schools. If not get the same degree from the school you are currently attending or a different community college.

How long should I study in one day?

This is a complicate question. The simple answer is, as much as you need too. The longer answer is, it’s best to study a little bit every day for all subjects. Try to stay one chapter ahead of the class every time you walk in to class. Then spend the rest of your time applying the material you are learning. I do wish i could tell you better than the speed of the class decieds it.

What if I'm not in school? How long should i study then?

This is a great question. continuing to learn outside of college is super important. I recommend picking at least two things to study at one time. spend 10-20 minuets learning about one and 10-20 minutes learning about the other. try and spread them out so you don’t do all of them at once. Maybe one in the morning and one in the evening. Then have a third thing you are just working on applying but not reading about. I try to aim for 20-30 minutes on this activity but don’t always find that possible.
